Basic Website
Many client's web projects fit within a "basic website" definition, and can avoid higher costs by keeping the ideas simple, and by providing as much input as possible. Much good business and interest can be generated from a basic website, so unless the more advanced features are required, this would be the way to go. A side point is that a simpler website is easier to update and maintain!
A common misconception, is that the basic, lower-cost website means it will look bad. The expression "You get what you pay for" is not always the most accurate saying, especially when it comes down to communicating your graphic ideas. It is true that a more "complex" design will be harder to program, and hence, cost more with the advanced plan - and it may, in fact convey a more "complex" image for your business or organization. A more complex design also requires serious initial planing and forthought before the project is started. So, these are ideas to keep in mind when embarking on a web project. Whether or not that complex idea or design is going to generate more revenue is often a MAJOR factor in determining whether or not to persue a particular idea!
